The new site offers unique scenic beauty and the atmosphere is free from pollution. The efforts are on to preserve this unique environment.
Sprawling over on a lush 20.72 acres of land, HCET campus is just a 20 minutes drive from the heart of the city. The institute boasts of super infrastructure consisting of main building, with well equipped class rooms, an open air auditorium, a well stocked library and computer centers for B.E. Courses, MCA & MBA Courses.
The new building of HCET has a total built up area of 97765 sq.ft. and comprises Core building, Workshops, Lecture Theatres, Tutorial Class rooms, Drawing Halls, Seminar Halls, Students Activities Centre, Open Air Theatre, Basketball, Volleyball Courts and other amenities.
Hitkarini Sabha has made an expenditure of about Rs. 1.5 crores for the construction of W-Block of new building for HCET.

Procedure for Admission to B.E. Courses
Students are admitted to B.E. on the basis of their performance in examinations like All India Engineering Entrance Examination ( A.I.E.E.E.) and Pre-engineering Test (P.E.T.) through the distributive on line counseling conducted by the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, (R.G.P.V.) Bhopal. 20% of intake capacity seats are reserved for AIEEE Score Cardholders and remaining 80% seats are M.P.quota seats. Out of these MP quota seats, 15% seats are reserved for NRIs However, if no NRI is available, these seats will be filled under the MP quota. AIEEE quota seats will be filled through the counseling to be held by the RGPV Bhopal and in case these seats remain vacant after two rounds of counseling, these will be converted into MP quota seats. For admission to the B.E. course, the student must qualify in the AIEEE/PET examination. If any seats remain vacant they may be filled in on merit basis depending on the Physics/Chemistry/Maths (PCM) marks at 10+2 level through subsequent counselling conducted by RGPV Bhopal.

Lateral Entry Admissions
Diploma holders are eligible for admission to the second year of four year B.E. Degree Course. There are 06 free seats in each discipline. Approval for process of lateral admission of B.Sc. students is awaited from AICTE.
Master of Computer Application (MCA) Course
Hitkarini College of Computer Applications is an associate of HCET offers a three-year course leading to Master's Degree (MCA) from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal.
Procedure for Admission to MCA Students
Admissions to MCA course can be sought through the A I M C A Entrance Test and Pre MCA test conducted by Professional Examination Board,(Vyapam) Bhopal.20% of the intake capacity seats (i.e. 12 seats) are reserved for AIMCAET Score cardholders and 80% ( i.e. 48 seats) will be filled through the candidates qualifying in the Pre MCA test. In case there is any vacant seat in NRI, this will be converted into MP quota. After two rounds of counselling for AIMCET score cardholders, if any seats remain vacant, this all India quota seats will be converted into the MP quota seats. The fee payable is as per directives of the state Govt / AICTE. Directorate of Technical Education, Bhopal has allowed NRI / Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin candidates for the admission to the first semester of three-year M.C.A. P. G. Degree Course. Procedure for Admission to M.B.A. Course 2007-08
A candidate seeking admission to two years full time MBA course should be a graduate or a postgraduate in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate of any registered Indian University or Foreign University or Institute recognised by the concerned university as equivalent thereto. The graduation should be with three years of regular study after passing 12th class examination of 10+2 scheme or equivalent. A final year student can appear in the Entrance Test on provisional basis. But such a candidate has to produce the certificate of having passed the Bachelor's or Master's Degree Examination with at least 50% marks at the time of admission. The admissions for the institute are governed by rules and regulations of Professional Examination Board, Govt. of M.P..
Entrance Test
Management Entrance Test (MET) is conducted by Professional Examination Board, Govt.of M.P. on notified dates. The admissions are through Professional Examination Board (PEB/Vyapam), Govt.of M.P. The Calendar is released by Professional Examination Board, Govt.of M.P. Admissions are given through counseling conducted by Directorate of Technical Education(DTE) on the basis of merit list(category wise), declared by Professional Examination Board(Vyapam) based on the Written Test, GD and Inverview. Hostel Admission...
The college has sponsored hostels for boys and girls in residential areas providing all basic facilities for lodging, boarding and having congenial atmosphere for studies.
Hostel Admission : Admission to the hostel is subject to admission in the Institution and availability of accommodation. Admission to hostel is made on first-come first-served basis. Application for hostel admission should be made on a prescribed Application Form to be obtained from the office of HCET.
Academics Rules...
Identity Card
Identity Card is a must for every student as he/she may be asked to show it on demand. Books will not be issued unless Identity Card is produced by the student to the librarian.
Attendance
Students are required to attend minimum 85% of theory and practical classes separately.
Leave other than vacation will not be, ordinarily, granted to the students during the college session. Parents & guardians are requested not to encourage their wards to take leave from the College. Any kind of leave is admissible only with the prior written permission of the Principal but this will not be taken into account for relaxation in the attendance requirement.
Removal
The Governing body of the college, on the recommendation of the Principal, reserves the right, to remove from the college rolls, the name of student or punish him / her otherwise for-
Failure to pay college or hostel fee in time.
Failure to execute an agreement by parents/ guardians of the student within 15 days of the date of admission.
Unsatisfactory conduct or behaviour.
Participation in any political/anti-social demonstration.
Being involved in any activity derogatory to the college.
Consumption or possession of narcotic drugs/liquor.
Direct/indirect Involvement in Ragging.
Rustication & Expulsion
A student will be liable to immediate rustication by the Principal, if in his/her opinion, the student behaves in a manner subversive of discipline or any other offence.
Vacation
As far as possible there shall be a semester break, during the academic session and after each academic session, there would be summer vacation. The duration of vacation/breaks would depend upon the total number of days of vacation declared by the R.G.P.V. Bhopal and Government of M.P.. The decision of the Principal of the College in all matters relating to admission shall be final and once the admission is taken, the fee will not be refunded.
Important Information
Special attention is drawn to the decision of the Supreme Court for student leaving midstream. If an institution feels that any particular student may leave in midstream, then it may require that the student give a bond/bank guarantee that the balance fees for the whole course would be received by the institute even if the student left in midstream. The institution would inform the candidate in writing before he finalises the admission in the institution and also publish it in the college prospectus/brochure. The provision for cancelling of admission before the last date of admission notified by the university shall apply as mentioned in the PET Rule Book.
RAGGING IS A PUNISHABLE OFFENCE. STUDENTS ARE WARNED TO REFRAIN FROM IT.
