Safe Click 2.0 Hackathon

The MP Police, under the Safe Click and Safe Digital Step initiative, organized the Safe Click 2.0 Hackathon at the Police Control Room on 7th July 2026. An innovative initiative under the Cyber Awareness Program to encourage young minds to solve real-world cyber challenges using AI/ML and emerging technologies for a safer digital ecosystem.

Among the 12 engineering colleges in Jabalpur, only one institution participated in the event. Hitkarini College of Engineering & Technology (HCET) was represented by three teams. The participating teams were mentored by Prof. Amit Kuraria.

It is a proud moment for HCET that Prof. Pooja Dubey, Registrar and a faculty member of the CSE Department, served as a judge at the Safe Click 2.0 Hackathon.

Participated Three teams from HCET stepped up to solve critical, real-world cyber security challenges using AI/ML and emerging technologies:

  • HCET Team 1 (Karthik Khatri, Aarya Namdeo, Kritika Khatri, Ayush Rajak, and Ragini) developed an AI model for locating mule banking accounts based on transaction details.
  • HCET Team 2 (Subh Sharma, Krish, Vishesh Rajak, Sneshish, and Harshit Singh) built a model for detecting the originators of specific online anti-India or anti-religion hate speech on platforms like Meta and X.
  • HCET Team 3 (Apoorv, Pushkar, Zeenat Khan, Mohd Junaid Raza, and Shubhana) designed a model for geofencing suspicious illegal activity on the dark web, specifically focusing on MP and Jabalpur.
